Music fans at Webster Hall will no longer be leaving their auditory memories at the coat check.

An agreement has been made between the legendary Manhattan venue and NYC-area Best Buy stores to sell professional-grade recordings of Webster's live shows, splitting the revenue 50-50 with the bands that create them, the New York Times reports.

Alongside the Best Buy partnership, fans will be able to buy performances on iTunes and WebsterHall.com. And aside from the generous revenue split between band and venue, the Times notes that bands will have "the right to pull out if they don’t like the way they sound," and be free from any recording and production costs.

This all sounds like a great deal for venue, fans and bands alike, so we expect other area venues to follow suit later this year with some variation of their own audio offerings.
