Police have released surveillance video of three men wanted in the shooting of a 9-year-old boy in the Bronx.

The boy was walking home from school with his cousins when a stray bullet pierced his foot while he was in front of a bodega in Tremont, according to his family and police. 

Police say three armed men shot at three other men in the area of East 175th Street and Clinton Avenue, then fled in a white Chevy Impala. The boy was the only person hit in the gunfire. 

"I came out the store, I had my back turned. By the time I turned around, there was two shots and my cousin was on the floor," said the boy's cousin, Michael Harrison. "He said "I'm shot, I'm shot.'" 

The boy was treated and released from the hospital Wednesday.

"It doesn't make any sense that we have to come from school and that happens -- just coming from school, you know what I mean? He didn't deserve it at all," said Harrison.
