Newly released video of a shooting at a New York City supermarket shows the gunman walk up to a checkout aisle and open fire before running off.
The NYPD released footage of Monday afternoon's shooting at a C-Town on Southern Boulevard in the Bronx's Woodstock neighborhood. In it, a gunman can be seen walking between checkout counters before firing several times with a silver handgun. Afterward, he runs out of the store.
Additional footage shows him talking with store employees before the shooting, then sprinting down the street afterward.
A 21-year-old man was hit three times, authorities say. He was hit in the back and shoulders and was last listed in serious condition.
Witnesses said shoppers began running out of the supermarket, some screaming.
