The child found alone in a Manhattan building has been reunited with his family, the NYPD said Thursday.
The boy, who only speaks Creole and who was thought to be around 10, was found inside a building on Eighth Avenue in the Garment District the previous morning, the NYPD said. He was taken to an area hospital, where he was in stable condition.
Additional details about his identity haven't been released.
NYPD Chief of Detectives Dermot Shea announced the good news in a tweet, writing, "Pleased to announce this young man has been reunited with his family. Thank you for your tips to @NYPDTips!"
