Two Brooklyn teens swimming off Rockaway Beach in Queens got lost in the waters Tuesday night and only one of them was able to be rescued.
Emergency officials pulled a 14-year-old boy from the waters at Beach 59th Street and Beach Channel Drive Tuesday night and an 18-year-old man was found dead Wednesday morning.
The rescued teen was in good condition, according to the NYPD.
Police and fire units were frantically searching for the other missing teen Tuesday night but had to call of the search. The 18-year-old was later discovered in an unknown location when the search resumed the next morning.
The incident is under investigation, police said.
