Two MTA workers were burned after some of their equipment malfunctioned Wednesday morning in Manhattan, officials say.
One worker suffered a burn to the face and the other suffered a burn to the leg, authorities said. Both are expected to recover.
The workers’ welding equipment malfunctioned while they were working on the tracks at West 40th Street and 6th Avenue in Midtown, officials said. It happened just after 5 a.m.
Police said both workers were transported to an area hospital to be treated.
