The cargo area of a tractor-trailer carrying bottled juice somehow caved in on the Cross Bronx Expressway Wednesday, causing two-hour inbound delays on the George Washington Bridge, according to Total Traffic.
The truck was involved in some type of accident on the Cross Bronx between Jerome and Webster avenues shortly before noon. Photos on social media showed the cargo area of the behemoth vehicle collapsed in the middle, part of it appearing to rest on the ground.
The cause of the accident is under investigation.
