New Data Reveals the Tri-State's Favorite Fast-Food Chain

The tri-state’s favorite fast-food restaurant isn’t what many might expect.

Foursquare and Business Insider determined all 50 state’s, including Washington D.C., most popular fast-food chain and New York, New Jersey and Connecticut all agreed: Chick-fil-A is the most popular. As a matter of fact it dominated all other chains in most states.

Thirty-nine states chose Chick-fil-A as their preference. Only Alaska, North Dakota and Washington, D.C. preferred McDonald’s. In-N-Out Burger topped everybody’s choice in Utah and Texas; Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen won in South Dakota and Hawaii; Vermont was the only state to prefer Wendy’s; Raising Cane's topped California; Nevada preferred White Castle; Kansas likes Culver’s and Oklahoma’s top pick is Taco Bueno.

Connecticut only has eight Chick-fil-A locations, only two of which are in Fairfield County, according to the chain’s official location listings. New Jersey has the most locations in the tri-state with 35 locations and New York has the second most with nine locations.
