Trenton Shootings Leave Man Dead, 3 Others Wounded

It does not appear that the shootings are connected

Three separate shootings in Trenton have left one man dead and three other people wounded.

It does not appear that the shootings are connected, but authorities are still seeking motives. No arrests have been made.

Few details were disclosed about the fatal shooting, which occurred around 12:25 a.m. Saturday in the 800 block of Quinton Avenue. Officers responding to reports of shots fired found the wounded man, who died a short time later.

The other two shootings both occurred Friday.

The first happened shortly before 2 p.m. Friday, when a 22-year-old city woman was shot in the head while her boyfriend drove in the area of Brunswick Avenue and Vine Street. Authorities say someone pulled up alongside their vehicle and opened fire.

The woman remained hospitalized Saturday in stable condition. Her boyfriend was not injured.

The second shooting occurred around 9:15 p.m. Friday, when someone using a shotgun loaded with birdshot wounded a 26-year-old city man in the left side of his body. A 48-year-old city man was struck in his right shin by a ricochet shot.
