A tractor-trailer overturned on the eastbound ramp of the Brooklyn Queens Expressway at Tillary Street in Brooklyn Tuesday morning, authorities said.
Eastbound traffic on the BQE was snarled all the way into Staten Island because of the overturned truck, causing an hourslong traffic nightmare in both boroughs.
The roadway reopened after 9 a.m., according to the Staten Island Advance. But residual delays stretched later in the morning as the traffic knot slowly untangled.
It was not immediately clear if anyone was injured when the trailer overturned.
