Visit These Top Ice Skating Rinks in NYC!

It’s the most magical time of year we've all been waiting for. The winter chill is finally blowing and it’s time to rock around the ice rink. Here are the top ice rinks to visit around the Big Apple.

The Rink at Rockefeller Center, 600 5th Ave.

After some Fifth Avenue shopping, skate to your favorite tunes at the Rockefeller rink. Only 150 people are allowed to skate at once which makes for a roomy skate session.

Riverbank State Park Ice Skating Rink, 679 Riverside Dr.

This winter wonderland features a view of the Hudson River and George Washington Bridge for a mere $5; $6 for ice skate rental. Winter babies looking to celebrate a birthday at the rink can reserve tables to continue the party off the ice. Beginners can also take lessons all year round.

Staten Island War Memorial Ice Skating Rink, 1150 Clove Rd.

Ditch the crowds and take a trip to Staten Island to skate at the Staten Island War Memorial Ice Skating Rink. Admission is $10 and skate rentals are $5. 

City Ice Pavilion, 47-32 32nd Place

The NHL-sized rink is the only rooftop rink in NYC. Skate on weekdays for $6 and $9 on weekends and snag skates for just $5.

World Ice Arena, 13135 Avery Ave.

Save some money and skate at World Ice Arena for free during their skate sessions. Take advantage of their party package which includes skate rental, pizza and skate time. It’s $6 on weekdays, $9 on weekends and $5 for skate rental.

Aviator Sports and Events Center, 3159 Flatbush Ave.

This rink has two NHL-sized ice rinks! It's open all year round. Non-member adults skate for $11 and non-member children (ages 11 and under) skate for $9. If you become a member, adults skate for $10 and children (ages 11 and under) skate for $8.10. Bring a lock and skaters can take advantage of their free lockers.

The Wollman Rink, Central Park 

Located on the east side of Central Park near the 59th Street and 6th Avenue entrance, guests are welcome to skate at the Wollman Rink all winter long. The cash-only rink charges adults $12, children $6 and seniors $5 Monday-Thursday. Friday-Sunday prices increase at $19/adults, $6/kids and $9/seniors. 

The Rink at Bryant Park

The Winter Village at Bryant Park offers skate lessons, exerskate classes, skate sharpening and more. General admission to The Rink is free, but people have to wait in line before skating. Express Skate tickets (so visitors can skip the line) start at $28. Skate rentals are $20.
