New Jersey Driver Skips Out on $7,100 in E-ZPass Tolls, Fees: Police

Port Authority Police arrested a New Jersey woman after a records check showed she owed $7,100 in E-ZPass tolls and fees.

Police said they observed 38-year-old Luz Waldsterin pass through a toll lane at the Holland Tunnel Tuesday without paying.

The truck was impounded, and when Waldsterin went to go get it, authorities determined the vehicle's registration had been suspended. Police say the Saddle Brook woman had multiple E-ZPass accounts, one with 89 violations.

Waldsterin also had an outstanding warrant out of Carlstadt. She was arrested on charges of theft of service and bail jumping. It wasn't immediately clear if she had an attorney who could comment on the allegations.
