Toddler Falls Out 3rd-Story Window in NJ: Law Enforcement Sources

A toddler fell out a third-story window and landed on awning in front of the house, law enforcement sources said. 

The 2-year-old was in serious but stable condition at Newark University Hospital, the sources said. 

The toddler fell Friday evening from a house on Ripley Place in Elizabeth, the sources said. 

The parents rand downstairs and picked the child up. 

It's not clear how the child fell out the window. Police are investigating.
