Share Your Wish for 2017 on Confetti ‘Wishing Wall' in Times Square Ahead of New Year's Eve Celebration

The countdown to New Year’s Eve has begun and those hoping to share a positive message for 2017 have a unique way to play a role in the festivities.

The Times Square Alliance and Countdown Entertainment have set up the New Year’s Eve Wishing Wall, where people can write their hopeful messages and dreams for 2017 on pieces of confetti that will float down over the Times Square crowds at midnight on New Year’s Eve.

An expected 3,000 pounds of “wishfetti” will be released that night. This is the second year that the New Year’s wishes from the Wishing Wall will be released in the air.

The Wishing Wall pop-up is located at Duffy Square section of Times Square and will be accessible every day from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., through Dec. 29, except for Christmas day.

Participants can also share their wishes online by using the hashtag #ConfettiWish on Twitter and Instagram or by going to TimesSquareNYC.org.

All wishes submitted after Dec. 28 will be printed for the New Year’s Eve celebration in 2017.
