Another Friday, another weekend filled with subway service changes. Here's a breakdown of the 16 lines affected:
1 Train
- Service will be suspended in both directions between 14th Street and South Ferry from 11:30 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday.
- 2, 3 and R trains will provide alternate service.
- Shuttle buses replace service between Chambers Street and South Ferry
2 Train
- Service will be local in both directions between Chambers Street and 34th Street-Penn Station from 11:30 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday.
Local
3 Train
- Service will operate to and from New Lots Avenue from 11:45 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday.
- Trains will skip Sutter Avenue-Rutland Road and Junius Street in both directions at all times until further notice. Free shuttle buses will be available.
- To get to/fram Sutter Avenue-Rutland Road, free shuttles will run between that stop and Crown Heights-Utica Avenue through the weekend.
- To get to/from Junius Street, free shuttle buses will run between Junius Street and Rockaway Avenue.
4 Train
- Service will be suspended in both directions between New Lots Avenue and Brooklyn Bridge from 11:45 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday.
- For alternate service, straphangers can take a 2, 3, D, J, N, Q or R train.
- 3 trains will run all weekend to New Lots Avenue.
- Trains will skip Sutter Avenue-Rutland Road and Junius Street in both directions. Commuters should use free shuttle buses as an alternative.
- To get to/from Sutter Avenue-Rutland Road, free shuttles will run between that stop and Crown Heights-Utica Avenue through the weekend.
- To get to/from Junius Street, free shuttle buse will run between Junius Street and Rockaway Avenue.
5 Train
- Trains will be suspended in both directions between Bowling Green and Grand Central-42nd Street from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. Saturday and from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. Sunday.
- Service will be suspended in both directions between Eastchester-Dyre Avenue and East 180th Street from 11:45 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday. Free shuttle buses will run between East 180th Street and Dyre Avenue.
7 Train
- Flushing-bound trains will run express from Queensboro Plaza to 74th Street-Broadway from 3:45 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday.
A Train
- Service will be rerouted onto the F line in both directions between West 4th Street and Jay Street-MetroTech from 11:45 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday.
- Downtown trains will run express from 125th Street to 59th Street-Columbus Circle from 11:45 p.m. Friday to 6:30 a.m. Sunday and from 11:45 p.m. Sunday to 5 a.m. Monday.
C Train
- Service will run over the F line in both directions between West 4th Street and Jay Street-MetroTech from 6:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. Satuday and Sunday.
- Downtown trains will run express from 125th Street to 59th Street-Columbus Circle from 6:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. Saturday.
D Train
- Service will run over the N line from 36th Street to Coney Island-Stillwell Avenue from 11:45 p.m. Friday to 10 p.m. Sunday.
- Commuters can take a D train to 62nd Street-New Utrecht Avenue or Stillwell Avenue, then transfer to Manhattan-bound train for service to D line stops south of 36th Street.
- Manhattan-bound trains will run express from 36th Street to Atlantic Avenue-Barclays Center from 11:45 p.m. Friday to 6:30 a.m. Sunday and from 11:45 p.m. Sunday to 5 a.m. Monday.
- Uptown trains will run local from 59th Street-Columbus Circle to 145th Street from 12:01 a.m. Saturday to 5 a.m. Monday.
E Train
- Trains will be rerouted over the F line in both directions between 21st Street-Queensbridge and West 4th Street from 11:45 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday.
- Free shuttle buses will run between Court Square and 21st Street, stopping at Queens Plaza.
- Manhattan-bound trains will run express from Roosevelt Avenue to 21st Street from 11:45 p.m. Friday to 7 a.m. Sunday, and from 11:45 p.m. Sunday to 5 a.m. Monday.
F Train
- Until further notice, Coney Island-bound trains will skip Avenue I, Bay Parkway, Avenue N, Avenue P, Avenue U and Avenue X.
- For access to these stops, take the F to Kings Highway or Neptune Avenue and transfer to a Queens-bound F train.
- For access from these stations, take a Queens-bound F to Kings Highway or 18th Avenue and transfer to a Coney Island bound F.
J Train
- Until the summer, Manhattan-bound trains will skip 121st Street and 104th Street.
- For service to 121st Street and 104th Street, use the nearby 111th Street and Woodhaven Boulevard stops or take a Manhattan-bound train to 111th or Woodhaven and switch to a Jamaica-bound train.
- For service from the stations use the nearby 111th Street and Woodhaven Boulevard stops or take a Q56 bus.
- Jamaica Center-bound J trains will skip 104th Street and 121st Street between 5:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. on weekends. Take the Q56 or the Z train instead.
L Train
- Service will be suspended in both directions between Lorimer Street and Broadway Junction from 11:30 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday. Free shuttle buses will provide alternate service.
N Train
- Manhattan-bound trains will run express from 59th Street to Atlantic Avenue-Barclays Center from 11:45 p.m. Friday to 6:30 a.m. Sunday and from 11:45 p.m. Sunday to 5 a.m. Monday.
- Astoria-bound trains will run express from Queensboro Plaza to Astoria Boulevard from 6:45 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
- Until the spring, Queens-bound N trains will skip 86th Street, Avenue U, Kings Highway, 20th Avenue, 18th Avenue, New Utrecht Avenue and Fort Hamilton Parkway.
- N trains will stop at Bay Parkway and Eighth Avenue.
- To get to 86th Street, Avenue U and Kings Highway, take a Queens-bound N to Bay Parkway and transfer to a Coney Island-bound N.
- To get to 20th Avenue, 18th Avenue, New Utrecht Avenue and Fort Hamilton Parkway, take a Queens-bound N to Eighth Avenue and transfer to a Coney Island-bound N.
- From these stops, take a Coney Island-bound N to Bay Parkway or Stillwell Avenue and transfer to a Queens-bound N.
- For service to New Utrecht Avenue, take the D and transfer to a Queens-bound N at 36th Street.
- Trains are also skipping 53rd Street in Brooklyn in both directions until the fall. The B37 and B63 bus lines will provide alternate service.
Q Train
- Coney Island-Stillwell Avenue trains will run express from Prospect Park to Sheepshead Bay from 11:45 a.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday
R Train
- Manhattan-bound trains will run express from Roosevelt Avenue to Queens Plaza from 6:30 a.m. to midnight Saturday and Sunday.
- Manhattan-bound train will run express from 59th Street in Brooklyn to Atlantic Avenue-Barclays Center from 11:45 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday.
- Trains are skipping 53rd Street in Brooklyn in both directions until the fall.
