Teenager Killed in Multi-Vehicle Collision on Long Island: Cops

Police on Long Island are investigating a collision that killed a 14-year-old girl after the minivan she was riding in collided with another vehicle.

The teenager was a passenger in a vehicle being driven by a 45-year-old man who was making a left turn when they were hit by an oncoming Jeep Wednesday night in Farmingdale, Nassau County police said. The minivan spun around after being hit and collided with two other vehicles stopped at traffic light.

The girl suffered multiple injuries and was pronounced dead at a local hospital, police said. Her name hasn't been released.

Police say they are investigating the crash as noncriminal.

The 45-year-old driver, the driver of the Jeep and occupants of the other cars were treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
