Suspect ID'd in Hit-and-Run that Broke Teen's Legs on Staten Island

Police identified the suspect Sunday wanted in a hit-and-run that broke a 13-year-old boy's legs on Staten Island.

Tyreek Wilson, 24, is accused of striking the teen while fleeing police on Friday.

Quadell Lovelace was struck by the car as he was crossing the street with his 11-year-old brother.

Lovelace’s mother, Lita Williams, says she knows Wilson and saw him while at a nail salon minutes before the crash.

“My 11-year-old was like, ‘Ma, the cops was chasing some guy and Quadell didn’t see them as fast as I did, so he didn’t have a chance to get out of the street,’” Williams said.

At some point Wilson lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a pole, police said. Video obtained exclusively by News 4 New York shows a man bolting from the Chrysler moments after it crashed.

Wilson has 10 prior arrests and is on probation for a 2014 robbery, police sources say. He is described a s 5-feet, 11-inches tall and about 175 pounds.
