Teen Stabbed Near High School in Brooklyn: Police

A 19-year-old man was stabbed near a high school in Brooklyn on Thursday afternoon, police say.

EMS responded to a report of a stabbing shortly before 3 p.m. on the sidewalk outside Erasmus High School.

The teen was stabbed in his stomach and taken to Kings County Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, police said, adding that he was being uncooperative with police.

It's unclear if the stabbing happened inside Erasmus High or nearby. It's also unknown if the victim is a student at the school.

Police were searching for the suspect, who fled the scene on foot.

Hours earlier on Thursday, a 13-year-old boy was arrested on a felony charge after he was found with an unloaded gun at his Bronx middle school, sources say.

The stabbing and gun scare come a week after a Bronx high school student stabbed two classmates, killing one of them. The student told authorities he had been bullied, though family members of the victim and classmates dispute that the victims bullied the teen.
