A teenager was arrested in connection with two car crashes on Long Island, including one that involved a police officer.
In the first crash, an officer patrolling on foot around 11:15 p.m. Friday was hit by a dark-colored vehicle on Peterson Street in Brentwood, Suffolk County police said.
The driver fled and the officer was treated for non-life threatening injuries.
Police say the teen was driving when his car hit another vehicle Saturday around 6:45 p.m.
The teen and two passengers fled the scene on foot but were tracked by authorities and arrested.
The driver of the other car was not injured.
