A 62-year-old taxi driver smashed into a utility pole in Brooklyn and died after some sort of medical episode late Sunday, authorities say.
Cops responded to a 911 call about a collision near Kings Highway and East 15th Street shortly after 11 p.m. and found the cab driver, Ilya Sukholinsky, unconscious at the scene. He was pronounced dead at a hospital.
Authorities say no other vehicles were involved in the crash and no other injuries were reported. Details on the driver's medical episode weren't available.
