2 Slashed in Separate Clashes in NY Shops

Two people have been slashed in separate incidents at suburban New York stores on Black Friday, but authorities say the crimes were not related to shopping.

A Clarkstown police spokesman says a Costco employee in Nanuet stabbed another with a box cutter shortly before the store opened for business Friday. It's in Rockland County.

Police say a previous argument that led to the attack. The victim was undergoing surgery. He is expected to survive.

An 18-year-old was slashed around 2 a.m. Friday in front of a store at the Tanger Outlet Mall in Riverhead, on Long Island.

A police spokesman says the teen had an ongoing dispute with the aggressor. The spokesman says there are no arrests and the teen isn't cooperating with police. He wasn't critically injured.
