Stop & Shop announced Wednesday that it’s recalling granulated beef bouillon because it may contain milk, an allergen not listed on the ingredient label.
The recall applies to HERB-OX Beef Flavor Granulated Bouillon.
The product comes in 4-ounce jars and has a UPC of 3360000020 and Best Buy dates of Sept. 2020 and Oct. 2020.
Customers who have purchased the product are advised to discard it and bring their purchase receipt to a Stop & Shop for a full refund.
The FDA posted that it has received no reports of illness as of Tuesday.
Milk can cause life-threatening reactions in some people who are allergic to it. Symptoms can vary between hives and abdominal cramps to more severe reactions like swelling of the throat and loss of consciousness.
