Small Plane Crashes Near NJ Airport

Two people aboard were taken to an area hospital

A small plane has crashed near the Central Jersey Regional Airport, Federal Aviation Administration officials said Thursday.

The plane was a Beech 76 aircraft with two people aboard, the FAA said. It landed short of the runway at the airport, and the pilot and passenger were taken to an area hospital. Their condition was not known.

The plane was coming from Princeton, airport officials said.

The cause of the crash is being investigated.
