More Than Half a Dozen Subway Lines Re-Rerouted or Delayed Due to Signal Problems

More than half a dozen subway lines were re-routed or delayed due to signal problems in Manhattan, causing extensive delays during the evening rush.

The A, C, E; the B, D, F; and the G trains all ran with delays in both directions because of signal problems between World Trade Center and Chambers Street.

The MTA said a power failure at the World Trade Center station caused the subway stoppage just after 4 p.m.

Service eventually resumed but with extensive delays.

A shooting at the Borough Hall subway station also had the 4 and 5 trains bypassing that station during the evening.
