A suspected burglar was caught on camera appealing to a higher power for help before breaking into a New York City clothing store.
Surveillance video released by the NYPD shows the man approaching the Ziani Fine Italian Clothing store on Avenue U in Brooklyn around 5 a.m. on March 22, during the height of the latest nor'easter to hit the tri-state area.
The devout burglar is then seen making the sign of the cross twice before taking a brick and throwing it against the store's glass door several times until it breaks.
Once he was inside, he swiped about 20 pieces of clothing and fled the store, heading northbound on East First Street, police said.
He was last seen wearing black pants, a black jacket, and black and white gloves, the NYPD said.
Police urged anyone who recognize the suspect or has any information that could lead to an arrest to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
