A 72-year-old woman being robbed in Queens pretended to pass out so that her attacker would stop choking her, but the man was able to get away with $180 and a cellphone before running off.
It happened in an apartment building in Jamaica, near Claude Avenue and Guy Brewer Boulevard, the evening of Dec. 31, 2018, police said.
The victim pretended to go unconscious, and the robber took her cash and phone before running.
The woman had minor injuries declined medical attention at the scene.
