Neighbors of a woman found dead earlier this week in her New Jersey apartment had told police they heard screams the day she died.

News 12 reports Wednesday that neighbors saw 26-year-old Carolyn Byington arrive to her Plainsboro home from work for lunch Monday afternoon.

They say they heard faint screams but didn't know if anyone had called police.

Byington's body was found that evening when concerned coworkers called police when she didn't return to work.

Authorities ruled her death a homicide. They did not say how she was killed.

Neighbors say they heard screams coming from her apartment about 1 p.m. Monday.

Byington was a 2015 graduate of Lafayette College in Easton, Pennsylvania. She worked at Engine, a marketing firm in Princeton.

No arrests have been made.
