Police are searching for a man they say sexually assaulted a woman on the rooftop of a building on the Lower East Side Friday.

The man, described as about 20 to 25 years old and around 5 feet 5 inches tall, entered a building on Clinton Street with the victim at about 2:50 a.m. Aug. 3. 

The victim went to the rooftop with the man, and was assaulted. The man fled. 

He was last seen wearing a white tank top and blue jeans, police said.
