Robbers Target Pedestrians in Queens: NYPD

Police are searching for two to four suspects they say have been robbing and assaulting pedestrians on a Queens street in the late-night to early-morning hours. 

All the incidents occurred in the area of Liberty Avenue on 125th and 126th streets in Richmond Hill, anytime between 9 p.m. to midnight or at around 5 a.m., police say. 

On Thursday, April 10, a 31-year-old man was targeted by one of the suspects, who pushed him against the wall and took his watch, necklace, bracelet, wallet, ring, $80 and his iPhone.

On Saturday, April 19, a 34-year-old man was approached by four suspects, who punched him and took his wallet containing $80 and other items. 

On Monday, April 21, a 54-year-old woman walking to a bus stop when she was approached by two suspects who demanded her purse while pushing her against a fence. They took her wallet, $5 and her cellphone. 

On Wednesday, April 30, a 56-year-old man was approached from behind by two suspects, with one of them pushing him while the other took his wallet containing $560, credit cards and drivers license. 

A fifth incident connected to the robbery pattern took place at about 12:20 a.m. on Friday, May 16 in the area of Rockaway Boulevard and 113th Street, where a 55-year-old man was approached by two suspects. One of them took his wallet containing $700, credit cards and drivers license, while the other hit the victim in the face. 

The suspects then fled in a black Kia Optima eastbound on 111th Street.
