A man sneaked into a woman's third-floor bedroom window using the fire escape, flashed a gun and raped her after she gave him $400 in cash, authorities say.
Police say the man attacked the woman shortly after midnight Sunday, Sept. 10 in her apartment building near East Tremont and Thieriot avenues in the Bronx.
The woman was taken to a hospital, where was treated and released.
The man was last seen wearing a green T-shirt and faded blue jeans. Police released surveillance video of him (above) and ask anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
