A 27-year-old Philadelphia man has been arrested in the stabbing death of a Queens woman that published reports identify as his aunt.
Richie Desauguste was arrested on murder and weapon charges Saturday in the killing of 66-year-old Rose Ragsdale in her Bellaire home last Oct. 24, according to the NYPD.
The New York Post reports Desauguste stabbed his aunt a dozen times with an icepick as her daughter, awakened by Ragsdale's screaming, witnessed the assault.
The daughter couldn't immediately identify the attacker because he was wearing a mask, but police suspected Desauguste as they investigated, according to the Post.
He was picked up inside an Applebee's restaurant on Long Island late Friday, police said.
Ragsdale was a school bus attendant for special-needs children in Queens, friends previously told NBC 4 New York.
