Low-income New Yorkers can get free legal advice next week during the statewide Pro Bono Week held by the state Bar Association.

Low-income New Yorkers can get free legal advice next week during the statewide Pro Bono Week held by the state Bar Association.

The services will be provided at various locations statewide from Oct. 23 to Oct. 29.

Bar Association President Vincent E. Doyle says the week shows how lawyers can make a difference in the lives of lower income New Yorkers.

The services will include tenants' rights, helping draw up wills and getting veterans benefits.

The first Pro Bono Week was in 2009.

Sites of events are available on the New York State Bar Association's website at www.nysba.org/probono.
