Call it a walk-off home run for the Baseball Hall of Fame.
President Barack Obama is traveling to New York on Thursday to stress how tourism can lead to good-paying jobs, and he's delivering his speech inside the baseball mecca in Cooperstown.
That will make Obama the first sitting president to visit the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum, which is celebrating its 75th anniversary in June.
Obama announced the trip during his weekly radio address Saturday. He said tourism is an export and if it's easier for foreign visitors to visit America's attractions that helps local businesses and the national economy.
Ironically, the village's biggest tourist attraction, the Hall of Fame, will be closed Thursday as a security issue. The speech will be streamed live on the Internet.
