Power Outage in NJ Affects 18K Customers

The same area experience an outage last week

A power outage in north Jersey is affecting about 18,000 customers, officials say.

A problem with a switching station in Fairlawn caused the outage Tuesday evening, a PSE&G spokesman said.

Power was being restored and everyone should be back online before 8 p.m.

So far this month, there have been three power outages in north Jersey affecting thousands of customers at a time. They have been attributed to switching station problems.
