Port Authority Police Officer Struck Near Lincoln Tunnel

A police officer was struck by a car Saturday morning near the entrance of the Lincoln Tunnel, police said. 

The Port Authority police officer was working near the New Jersey side of the tunnel when the cop was struck by a car at about 6 a.m., police spokesman Scott Ladd said. 

The officer suffered a possible concussion and was taken to the Jersey City Medical Center, police said. 

Police said the driver wasn't arrested and it was believed to be an accident.
