Police Release Sketch of Man Found Dead in East River

Police are trying to identify a man who was found dead in the East River last week.

Police released a sketch of the man, who they described as being in his 40s. 

The man's body was found in waters just north of the Williamsburg Bridge on July 4.

Police removed the body near East 6th Street at FDR Drive ahead of the 41st annual Macy’s 4th of July fireworks show over the East River.

Medical examiners are still investigating the cause of death, police said.
