Police Looking For Man Who Pushed Teen in Front of Oncoming 7 Train

Police are looking for the man who they say pushed a teenager in front of an oncoming 7 train in Queens Saturday evening.

The 17-year-old girl was waiting at the 103rd Street - Corona Plaza station in Corona when the man came up and pushed her onto the tracks as a train approached the station, according to police.

The motorman saw the girl on the tracks and pulled the emergency brakes, and the teen scrambled to squeeze herself between the platform and the train's wheels.

Emergency responders were then able to get the girl out. She was taken to Elmurst Hospital with minor injuries.

The man who pushed her was caught on surveillance cameras running from the station.

Anyone with information about the man should call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
