Woman Stabbed to Death in Queens Knife Attack: Police

A woman was stabbed to death by her boyfriend in Queens on Sunday and her mother was injured in the attack, police sources said. 

Monet Franklin, 51, had stab wounds to her neck and chest when officers found her unconscious and unresponsive in an apartment on 32nd Street in Far Rockaway, the NYPD said. She was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

A 74-year-old woman had a cut on her left hand. She was the mother of the victim, police sources told NBC 4 New York. She was taken to Jamaica Medical Center in stable condition. 

Jonnie Jones, 42, was charged with second-degree murder and a weapons charge, police said. A knife was recovered at the scene, police said.

The attack stemmed form a domestic dispute between Jones and Franklin, police said. 

The investigation is ongoing.
