A man was struck and killed by a truck while trying to cross the street outside of the crosswalk in Brooklyn Tuesday night, police say.

A man was struck and killed by a truck while trying to cross the street outside of the crosswalk in Brooklyn Tuesday night, police say.
The 54-year-old pedestrian was attempting to cross Nostrand Avenue near Myrtle Avenue in Bedford-Stuyvesant at about 8 pm. when a white box truck going southbound on Nostrand hit him, police said.
The man was taken to Woodhull Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The driver of the truck stayed on the scene, and no arrest has been made.
