The Ridgewood Police Department issued a warning about a bogus parking ticket scam.
Motorists receive emails informing them of parking tickets. The emails direct them to pay online or by phone. One sample email issued a $68 "fine."
Ridgewood police said they never issue a summons or make notifications through email.
