An NYPD traffic agent walking back to his police car on a Brooklyn street was hit by a passing car that continued on without stopping, and police are searching for the driver.
Surveillance video captured the hit-and-run last Friday, Oct. 23 in the area of Washington and Myrtle avenues in Clinton Hill.
It was at about 10:30 p.m. when the 30-year-old agent was walking back to his marked car double-parked on the street when he was hit by a car zipping up Washington Avenue, police said.
The agent fell to the ground, and the vehicle, a red or burgundy Volkswagen Passat, continued on.
The officer was taken to Methodist Hospital in stable condition.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Crime Stoppers at 800-577-TIPS. The runaway vehicle may have passenger side mirror damage.
