New York City police are searching for two suspects who allegedly mugged an 83-year-old woman in the Bronx.
A surveillance camera caught the suspects following the woman into her apartment building on Longfellow Avenue in the Tremont section late Tuesday afternoon. They knocked her to the floor when she refused to hand over her purse, police said. The suspects grabbed the purse and fled.
The woman received a cut on her head in the fall and was taken to a nearby hospital where she was treated and released.
Police request that anyone with information about the robbery call the Crime Stoppers hotline at 800-577-TIPS or post the tip at www.nypdcrimestopers.com.
