A 40-year-old NYPD sergeant faces a number of charges in connection with a suspected case of road rage involving a U-turn and a bicyclist in Queens, authorities say.
Police say the officer, Bradley Beamer, was off duty and was driving in Long Island City around 6 a.m. Wednesday when he went to make a U-turn and nearly hit a bicyclist. The two started arguing and Beamer allegedly flashed his department-issued weapon, according to authorities.
Beamer was arrested on charges of menacing, assault and harassment. Attorney information wasn't immediately available.
