NYPD, FDNY Conduct Massive Drill: ‘Active Shooter' on Campus

A few hundred police officers converged on a college campus on Sunday to neutralize an "active shooter" who had taken hostages and planted an explosive device in a parking lot.

The massive response by the NYPD and city firefighters was, thankfully, a drill.

It was billed as the largest "active shooter" drill ever and involved more than 200 responders.

The drill was conducted at Leon M. Goldstein High School in Brooklyn, which is also the site of Kingsborough Community College.
