NYPD Beefs Up Presence at NYC Mosques

Police have beefed up security near mosques around New York City following a London attack where a driver plowed into worshippers.

Police spokesman Peter Donald says the move is out of an abundance of caution and not due to any specific threat information.

Police there say the London crash is being investigated as terrorism.

The NYPD is stepping up patrols at city mosques in the wake of the attack in London. Tracie Strahan reports.

The chairman of the Finsbury Park Mosque has said the crash is a "cowardly attack" and urged Muslims going to mosques to be vigilant.
