A woman died Tuesday after she was hit by a garbage truck in Manhattan, police say.
The woman was hit as she crossed First Avenue at East 92nd Street on the Upper East Side around 4:30 p.m.
When officers arrived, they found 55-year-old Jodi McGrath injured in the street.
Paramedics took McGrath to NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital's Weill Cornell Medical Center, where she later died.
The 58-year-old driver of the garbage truck stayed at the scene.
The NYPD is investigating, but no arrests have been made.
