Suspect Arrested in Shooting That Killed 2 in Brooklyn

Police have arrested a 33-year-old Brooklyn man after two people were shot and killed in Brooklyn last month.

Gary Martin, of East New York, is charged with two counts of murder and criminal possession of a weapon.

On the morning of June 23, police say Martin shot 27-year-old Devon Hannibal, of Brooklyn, and 23-year-old Christina Stubbs, of Pompano Beach, Fla., in East New York.

Police discovered the victims inside a red Dodge Durango. Officials pronounced the two dead on the scene.

Police found Martin after searching for two suspects in surveillance footage from before and after the double homicide.

It wasn't immediately clear if Martin had a lawyer who could comment on the allegations.
