NYC Supermarket Worker Sliced in the Face by Cereal Thief

A Bronx supermarket employee was slashed in the face when he tried to stop a man from stealing a box of cereal, police said.

The worker was at the Pioneer Supermarket on White Planes Road near East 224th Street at about 5:30 p.m. Friday when he saw a man try to pocket a box of cereal without paying for it.
