Officer Dragged by Cadillac Outside Bronx Precinct: NYPD

An NYPD officer was dragged by a Cadillac early Tuesday morning right outside of a Bronx precinct house, police said.

The officer was leaving the 40th precinct station house just after midnight when she saw a man peeing nearby.

She went over to the man as he was entering a Cadillac CTS, and when she leaned inside the car, he took off, police said.

The officer was dragged several feet. She suffered arm injuries and was taken to North Central Bronx Hospital, where she was treated and released.

NYPD officers saw the car cross the Third Avenue Bridge into Manhattan and followed the vehicle but eventually lost sight of it.

The Cadillac was found a short time later, parked at 125th Street and Fifth Avenue with no one inside.

Police are searching for the 40-something-year-old suspect.
