Man Pleads Not Guilty in Death of Women at NYC Hotels

A man charged in the killing of two women in New York City hotels earlier this year has pleaded not guilty.

Joseph Danclair is accused of strangling 34-year-old Chrissy Bevelaqua, of Staten Island. Police say the mother of four was found in the Bushwick Hotel in Brooklyn on July 23.

Danclair entered his plea in Brooklyn Supreme Court.

Police say the 36-year-old Brooklyn man also allegedly killed 43-year-old Antoinette Marin, whose body was found inside the Manhattan Broadway Hotel on Sept. 8.

Officials say both women had trauma to the neck area.

Police say he told them that he was at a hotel with the women, fell asleep and they were dead after he woke up.
